Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) . <br /> Chief of Police Kilbo entered into the record his LAW ENFORCEMENT INTERN* <br /> memo concerning a law enforcement intern, dated <br /> October 5, 1978, which states: <br /> The police department has a request from Mr. Mark <br /> Tomczyk of 12235 Highway 55, Plymouth, to complete <br /> his college work at Normandale Community College by <br /> serving a ten-week internship with our department. <br /> Mark is 20 years old and is in his second year at <br /> Normandale in law enforcement studies. <br /> He has extensive first aid training (E.M.T. ) and <br /> has attended a heavy reserve school and is at <br /> present a volunteer fire fighter with the Plymouth <br /> Fire Department. <br /> He will develop burglary and accident pin maps, <br /> ride in squadcars, participate in police reserve <br /> activities, and perform such activities as the <br /> Chief may direct. <br /> The following conditions will apply: <br /> l. The period of internship will run from <br /> October lst through the second week of <br /> December, a period of ten weeks at approximately <br /> 20 hours per week. <br /> 2. He will not be an employee of the City or <br /> guaranteed er►ployrient after the period. <br /> 3. Insurance coverage is not afforded by the college, <br /> our carrier will assume coverage under comprehensive <br /> liability policy upon receipt of a memo frorl us <br /> requesting coverage. <br /> 4.
