Discussion ensued regard- <br /> ing effect of encroachment on drip line of trees. <br /> Mr. Proegler does not want to remove existing garage <br /> due to loss of grape vines on that structure and <br /> also due to needed storage space. iSotion to approve <br /> variances as requested finding hardship of existing <br /> tree locations and conformity with existing neighbor- <br /> hood. Vote: Ayes (6) - Nays (1) . JoEllen Hurr Nay_ <br /> She voted against approval as she did not see the <br /> hardship of the grape vines, was concerned with the <br /> nunber of garages on the lot, and questioned the <br /> encroachment upon the neighbors evergreen trees. <br /> Council P�'teeting - August 15, 1978 <br /> Mayor Van Nest: The City does not want to encourage <br /> additional buildings on small lots. <br /> Mr. Proegler commented that he would be willing to <br /> remove the existing garage wittiin 30 days. <br /> Mayor Van Nest moved, Pesek seconded, to direct staff <br /> to prepare a resolution for Council review at their <br /> next Council meeting to allow a 24 ' X 24' two-car <br /> garage, subject to existing garage being removed <br /> within 30 days and applicant sign-off on resolution. <br /> Motion, Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br />
