Planning Commission also - noted that work had been done within 75 ft. of the shore and requested the staff to review. Staff P1ote - June 21, 1978 Note that original subdivision #114 was approved by the Planning Commission on September 7, 1976 with lot width variance "subject to no other variances" . Staff does note that this encroachment is minimal and occurs on the non-lakeshore side which is heavily wooded. Lakeshore Setback: There exists a stockpile of excavated material and brush within 75 ft. of the lagoon. The contractor has promised to remove same as soon as the weather allows. The road itself is approxir►ately 50 ft. from the lagoon, but so is the existing driveway easement which provides the only access to this lot. This easement was clearly shown in this location during the subdivision review two years ago. T.t should have been addressed at that time but :aas not. Because of the earlier approvai, staff believes that a variance for the driveway location is appropriate provided the driveway remains gravel and is not paved. Council P�eeting - June 29, 1978 Mayor Van Nest moved, Butler seconded, to approve the request of John Hannah, 2608 *'tapleridge Road, for a variance to side yard setback and 75 ' lake- shore setback, subject to: l. Removal of excavated material and brush 2. Driveway remains gravel and will be protected to prevent erosion 3. Driveway will follow existing easement Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
