If we decide to move the <br /> driveway, Mr. Hoff insists that we move three or - <br /> four 6 ' to 8 ' Norway Pine trees that were placed <br /> on his property by mistake. To move the driveway <br /> and the pine trees _would, in my opinion, be cost <br /> prohibitive. <br /> � haye discussed this with City Attorney Bruce <br /> Malkerson in regard to condemnation. Bruce feels <br /> this approach to be cost prohibitive. <br /> P�ir. Hoff has indicated that he would accept a cash <br /> settlement of $4. 00 to $4.50 per square foot. <br /> This would be a total cost of $1,920 to $2, 160. <br /> It is my recommendation to offer a cash settlement <br /> on this s�tuation; however, I do feel there is <br /> room for negotiations on the total amount and <br /> I am requesting permission to negotiate with <br /> Mr. Hoff for an amount not to exceed $2,160. <br /> Council Meeting - June 29, 1978 <br /> 2�iayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to authorize <br /> staff to negotiate a settlement not to exceed <br /> $1, 800 to Duane Hoff, 3135 North Shore Dirve, <br /> for the 73-1 restoration.
