The dock configuration should be revised to <br /> conform completely to the 200 ft. maximum <br /> dock length and to the side yard setback <br /> requirements. <br /> 3. Parking and traffic situation should be <br /> resolved and the development of a parking <br /> lot on residential property cannot be con- <br /> sidered without a rezoning proposal. <br /> 4. The r►ooring area should be moved to within <br /> the 200 ft. dock use area. <br /> 5. Despite warnings and violation tags last year, <br /> storage is continuing on residential property i <br /> in violation of several village ordinances. <br /> 6. Parking should be promoted on the marina <br /> property itself which will require the <br /> removal of stored boats on the south half <br /> of the lot. <br /> 7. The survey indicates semi-perraanent wood <br /> ramps that have been built over and in effect <br /> extend the natural shoreline of the property <br /> without any apparent authority from the <br /> applicable agencies involved with shoreline <br /> management. <br /> Staff Comments: The Council should carefully <br /> review . the very intense use of this extrer.iely <br /> small parcel and the resulting encroachments <br /> of marina use beyond the authorized dock use <br /> areas and indeed beyond the property boundaries <br /> of the parcel. The Council should seriously <br /> consider the continuing traffic problems and <br /> ordinance violations involved with the operation <br /> of this property. <br /> Lake Minnetonka Conservation District letter to <br /> Paul' s Landing dated June 7, 1978, which states: <br /> "The LMCD Board of Directors at its last regular <br /> meeting, after public hearing and upon recor.unendation <br /> of the hearing panel, has denied your. application <br /> for the variances required for the maintenance <br /> �f docks on Smiths Bay, Lake Minnetonka, under . <br /> . the dock plan submitted with ynur 1978 license <br /> application.
