See attached covenants (Continued) �hich are in the City files. Current regulations prohibit construction of a dock on detached outlots; hence, the variance request. No comments exist in the record concerning the g�oposed use of the outlot. Note the applicant' s coriments on the application form regarding overall shoreline density. Review of this application should also address future dock requests for Lot 2, Block 3, i.e. , the outlot was obviously originally intended for use by two lots and up to four boats. Is this boat density reasonable or not, and should any allowed dockage be in one or two separate structures? Planning Commission Meeting - April 24, 1978 Mr. Safar and Mr. George Johnson were present at the Planning Commission meeting_ P�r. Johnson went through an explanation of the creation of this outlot along with the creation of the other lots within the Partenwood Subdivision noting that there were thirteen one-acre sites in a total area of 24 acres, eleven of those sites are actually •iparian with two lots inland_ Those two lots ,eing the subject of this variance. Outlot A, which is where the dock is requested to be placed, is now owned in fee by P�r. Johnson because he is also the fee owner of Lots 1 & 2, Block 3. Lots. 1 & 2 each have a 1/2 undivided interest in Outlot A. Mr. Johnson argued against imposing higher restrictions today than those imposed wh�n the lot was platted. Mayor Van Nest noted �hat the City would consider granting a variance to build a dock under the current dock regulations, i.e. that the dock be no more than 100 ft. long and that no more than two countable boats be pl.aced at the dock at any one time, and also that LP4CD liultiple Dock I�icense would be required due to the dock location on an outlot. Staff Note - May 8, 1978 At this time, the .staff received a capy of the actual adopted L1ZCD Code_ This has been supplied tonight for your review and concluding review of this item. Because of the late receipt of this document, the staff has not reviewed the Code for applicability in this particular case. (Continued)
