' FtEGULAR r7EETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, P1AY 11, 1978 Page 21
Mayor Van Nest moved, Paurus seconded, to refer PROPOSED ORDINANCE
to the Planning Commission a proposed ordinance Chairpersons
concerning the appointment of chairpersons to
Orono Commissions. Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
Dick Benson, City Administrator, presented the SENIOR CITIZEN RATES
City Council with a memo from John Gerhardson, Orono Golf Course
Public Works Coordinator, dated April 18, 1978
which states:
On February 16, 1978, I presented to you a rate
increase for the Orono Golf Course. In that
memo, it was suggested to eliminate the season
ticket rate for senior citizens.
On April 15, 1978, the golf course opened and
there were several comments from senior citizens
about not having a special season ticket rate.
Therefore, it is my recommendation to add to
the 1978 rates for the Orono Golf Course a
season ticket rate of $50 for senior citizens,
resident and non-resident.
In 1977, the senior citizen' s aeason ticket
rate was $50 for non-resident and $25 for a
resident.
Massengale moved, Butler seconded, to approve
a season ticket rate of $50 for senior citizens
at the Orono Golf Course for 1978. Motion,
Ayes (5) - Nays (0) .
Mayor Van Nest moved, Pesek seconded, to deny DENY REFUND
a refund of $25 to D'ir. William Windhauser, Golf Course
Minneapolis, on the advice of the City Adminis-
trator and City Attorney.
