Piotion, <br /> Ayes (3) - Nays (0) . <br /> Dick Benson, City Administrator, inforried the City WASTE«ATER MANAGEMENT <br /> Council that we are in receipt of a letter from PLAN - 208 <br /> John Boland, Metropolitan Council, dated March 3, <br /> 1978, which states: <br /> "Enclosed is a copy of a Sur.unary Report On <br /> Alternatives for 4�lastewater P4anagement. <br /> The document summarizes and discusses the concerns <br /> raised by the public and local officials at public <br /> meetings held during October, 1977, as part of the <br /> Council ' s 208 wastewater manac�er►ent planning program. <br /> . <br /> In addition, the report contains information about <br /> the assuriptions used to develop the alternatives, <br /> the Council' s responses to the issues raised and <br /> the alternatives selected for further study. <br /> The selected alternatives will now be the subject <br /> of further Council study, including economic <br /> irlpact, affect on the social and physical environ- <br /> ment and consistency with Council general policy. <br /> Work on this should be completed and made available <br /> for public review this spring.. <br /> The alternatives report is part of a Council planning <br /> effort to update its wastewater management plan. <br /> The end result will be the formulation of a new <br /> Wastewater r�anagement Policy Plan chapter of the <br /> Metropolitan Developrlent Guide, now scheduled for <br /> cor.lpletion in �Iovember of this year. " <br /> Dick Benson, City Aciministrator, �,nforr.ied' the LIQUOR STORE REPORT <br /> City Council _that during the previous six months, <br /> we have been reviewing the liquor store operation <br /> very closely in light of a recomr.tendation from <br /> Lorraine McGocaan, lic�uor store manager, to expand <br /> the liquor operation. The proposal was to remodel <br /> the store and rent the basement area now vacant <br /> and increase storage and selling space, which would <br /> allow us to increase sales and net profit.
