French advised <br /> that there has been no change or progress in the <br /> negotiations for park purchase of the Vetter property. <br /> He is to let staff kno��� of any progress by Piarch 9, <br /> 1978, for consideration by Council. <br /> Staff - P�Iarch 13, 1978 , <br /> Received call from Denny Kilbane (part owner) advising <br /> that the Park District is to proceed with the purchase - <br /> subdivision request may be withdrawn. <br /> Staff - March 16 , 1978 <br /> Clifford French visited me in the City offices and . <br /> informed me that the above is indeed the case, <br /> although no papers have been signed. <br /> Council P4eeting - March 16 , 1978 <br /> No one present for this item. Council heard the <br /> above information and tabled item until applicants <br /> ask to reopen the request. Applicant is so notified. <br /> Letter from Alan Olson to Mr. Durwell Vetter <br /> dated P�4arch 17, 1978, states: <br /> "This letter is to advise you that the Orono City <br /> Council has tabled this iteri until such time that <br /> you as the applicant should request reappearance <br /> to pursue the matter. <br /> The lack of appearance before the Council last <br /> evening tends to confirm the City's understanding <br /> that the subdivision rec�uest is to be withdrawn <br /> due to sale of the property to the Park Reserve <br /> District. " <br /> Council P4eeting - March 30 , 1978 <br /> P�r. Alan Olson also noted that P4r. Gridley has <br /> requested that this matter be postponed for 30 days. <br /> Mr. Dick Benson, City Administrator, noted that Mr. <br /> Greg P�Iack, Hennepin County Par]: Reserve District, had <br /> called today and stated that Mr. Vetter withdrew his <br /> application for a division and was going to sell <br /> to the Park District.
