The report goes <br /> on to indiate that in order to avoid piling that would be required to support a <br /> structure "- - - - - it would be necessary to excavate the compressible and <br /> organic materials and place a compacted backfill u�der controlled conditions." <br /> These excavations would be up to 17 feet below the existing grade of the lot at <br /> the northeast corner of the proposed new house. These items must be carefully <br /> examined prior to issuance of any building permit. ' _ <br /> End of letter <br /> Council P�eeting - February 23, 1978 , <br /> Mr. Savid Singer and P�r. Robert Schnell were present <br /> to discuss their clients, h�r. Braun and Mr. Plowman' s <br /> concerns with P�r. Braun' s application for a sub- <br /> division. <br /> P�r. Schnell referrea to his letter dated February 10, <br /> 1978 , which states: <br /> . Confirming our. telephone conversation of Wednesday, <br /> February 8, 1978, it is my understanding, you have reviewed the <br /> file on this matter and that you feel the following items are <br /> necessary for the City of Orono to consider final approval of <br /> - the "subdivision" of Mr. Braun' s property: <br /> • (1) an updated final plat in conformity with <br /> - �:e Minnesota Statutes , including a pro- <br /> ' posed drainage easement on the property <br /> to be used by Mr. Plok�rnan; <br /> (2) an attorney' s title opinion showing current <br /> status of title to the property being sub- <br /> divided; <br /> (3) an executed drainage easement running to <br /> the benefit of the City of Orono and <br /> covering the drainage easement area set <br /> forth on the plat; and <br /> (4) tender of payment of the park dedication <br /> fee. <br /> Should anything else be necessary to have this matter <br /> finally heard, and resolved, by the Orono City Council, I expect <br /> that you will advise me promptly. <br /> (Continued) <br />
