It is recommended that the specifications be classified to require the prompt removal of any debris or floating material that may inadvertently enter the channel or water areas as a result of the construction activ- �ty. 2. The scheduling and timing of the pending construction of the Orono-Long Lake Interceptor should be clarified and resolved. 3. The Orono-Long Lake Interceptor, the Co. Rd. 15, Tanager Bridge and the Co. Rd. 51, Noerenberg Bridge will all require detour routes. The total detour system should be reviewed to ensure a compatible system within the City of Orono. 4. Subject to the above comments, and subject to the approval of the City Attorney as to form and execution, we recommend that the plans and specifications for Hennepin County Project No. 7252 and the Construction Cooperative Agreement No. FW 32-08-77 be approved by the City of Orono and that the Mayor, the Clerk and the Engineer be authorized to sign the necessary documents and plans where appropriate. We are returning under separate cover all of the items submitted to us by your office. Jim Olson, City Engineer, reviewed with the TANAGER LAKE CHANNEL - City Council his letter dated January 20, 1978 INTERCEPTOR which states: Re: DNR Water Permit Application Review Orono-Long Lake Interceptor Our File No. 139 We have reviewed the permit application from the Metro Waste Control Commission to the Dept. of Natural Resources for the Orono-Long Lake force main crossing of the channel between Tanager Lake and Browns Bay, A copy of plan sheet 7B show- ing the location and a copy of plan sheets 16B and 17B indicating several details, together with six photographs of the crossing area w ere included with the appli- cation. There were no project specifications with the application, so we cannot dete nnine the extent and type of restoration that is anticipated for the area.
