If you will prepare the necessary <br /> agreement, I will see that it is executed in a <br /> tir�ely manner. . <br /> I feel that it would be wise for Chief Kilbo to <br /> appear at a Council meeting in the near future <br /> so that he can explain how your Department operates. <br /> As you know, our next meeting is December 12; perhaPs <br /> however, it would be appropriate if his appearance <br /> were delayed until our January meeting which will <br /> be held on the 9th. <br /> ��e look forward to tliis relationship. However, <br /> due to the fact that one officer was to be hired <br /> in early 1978 and the second was to be hired at <br /> , some later unspecified date, we did not apportion " <br /> the total Adopted Budget for the' purpose of <br /> determining the amounts to be charged to those <br /> cor.ununities which contract with Orono for police <br /> service. The portion of the Police Budget which <br /> was to be shared by the cbr,�munities excluded the . <br /> salary cost of one additional police officer. <br /> The Adopted Budget is $278,901. The salary arnount <br /> excluded from this figure was $12 , 769 .
