The new dock and <br /> ' dredging proposal were very much the same as <br /> the original proposal which was previously <br /> � denied by Orono (a dock extending straic�ht <br /> to the channel from Lots 3 & 4 with an additional <br /> 200 ft. mooring dock parallel to the channel) . <br /> The dock for mooring would necessitate dredging <br /> � along the channel for accessibility. <br /> � Planning Commission reviewed proposal. Indicated <br /> � some objection to dredging. Suggested developer <br /> review further to come up with solution without <br /> � dredging. Possibly a change in location of the <br /> dock and consideration of a variance from the <br /> � dock length limits so as to rlinimize effect <br /> on fish spawning area along the shoreline of <br /> � the bay. <br /> � Mr. Hacking informed Commission that he had <br /> � been told that the DP1R would deny the L-shaped <br /> dock previously approved by Orono. Planning <br /> + Conunission requested some certification. P�Sr. <br /> Hacking replied this was only verbal as Ron <br /> � Iiarnack was out of town so he was unable to <br /> • obtain a statement. <br /> • The Commission considered deferring a decision, <br /> They suggested the developer submit alternative <br /> � proposal, i�ir. Iiacking insisted on a decision <br /> (approval or denial) . The Planning Comr�ission <br /> � informed the applicant a definite denial would <br /> only hold up the project.
