The east edge of the new <br /> • bridge will extend roughly� 3 feet farther east <br /> than the east edge of the existing bridge; while <br /> a the west edge of the new bridge will extend <br /> roughly 8 £eet father west than the west edge of <br /> � the old bridge. <br /> � On the west of County Road 15 , retaining walls <br /> are proposed on both the north and south sides of <br /> � the bridge. <br /> � The finished elevation of channel bottom beneath <br /> � the bridge will be 923. 0 , which coincides with <br /> the existing elevation. <br /> In regard to the Construction Cooperative Agree- <br /> � rnent, the City is responsible for: <br /> � 1. 50% of all land acquisition, easement, and <br /> ` �ermit costs. <br /> + 2 . 20% of all construction costs and design costs. <br /> � ihe total cost to Orono is estimated to be $21, 878. 33. <br /> � End of letter <br /> � Mr. Don Spielmann, County Design Engineer, comr;�ented <br /> � that Hennepin County would delay constructior. of <br /> the Tanager Lake Bridge if construction of the <br /> + interceptor is delayed in order to coordinate <br /> construction of both projects in one .construction <br /> � year. <br /> � Butler moved, 27assengale seconded, to defer until the <br /> • October 11, 1977 Council meeting to allow staff time <br /> to research rewording construction contract to <br /> � include language allowing coordinating of bridge <br /> and interceptor construction within same construction <br /> � year. Greg Frank, City Engineer, reviewed a letter ORONO-LONG LAKE <br /> from his firm concerning the Orono-Long Lake IrITERCEPTOR <br /> � Interceptor, dated September 15, 1977, which states : <br /> � "The decision that an 18" force main is required for <br /> � the Orono line was based on hydraulic Probler.zs in <br /> operating two pumPing stations that discharge into <br /> � the same line.
