� <br /> • RECULAR� MEETING OF THE ORONO COUNCIL, PiAY 23, 1977 Page 32 <br /> � Dick Benson, City Administrator, announced to BOARD OF REVIEW MEETING <br /> the City Council that the Board of Review will <br /> eet at the Council Chambers, Tuesday, May 24 , <br /> 977 at 7: 30 PoM. <br /> � <br /> � Mayor Van Nest Moved, Butler seconded, to RESOLUTION #786 <br /> � adopt Resolution #786, A Resolution Concerning Ivy Lane Access <br /> The Use Of Long Lake Boulevard Fire Lane 1535- <br /> � 1545 Long Lake Boulevard (Otherwise Known As <br /> The Ivy Lane Access) , as amended. Motion, <br /> � Ayes (4) - Nays (0) . <br /> � Resolution #786 attached - Pages 33 & 34 <br /> � <br /> � Dick Benson, City Administrator, inforrled the <br /> City Council that approximately two months ago, <br /> � Mr. Bill Fenholt, Orono School Business Manager, <br /> called my office to discuss the possibility of <br /> � reducing the sewer and water rates to the school <br /> • because of declining enrollment and consequent <br /> loss of State Aid. Several meetings have been <br /> � held at the school with Mr. Bill Carlson, <br /> Mr. Fenholt, members of the School Board, myself, <br /> � and Mr. Pat Farnand, A4ayor of Long Lake, <br /> discussing the matter. <br /> � <br /> ayor Farnand has indicated to us that Long Lake <br /> � would consider reducing the water rate to Orono <br /> � 50$ ($0. 90/thousand gallons to $0. 45/thousand <br /> gallons) which can be �assed on to our customers. <br /> • <br /> Any further reduction is not possible at this <br /> � time, and cannot be speculated upon in the near <br /> future. <br /> � <br /> « Mr. Fenholt will be present at our �4ay 23, 1977 <br /> Council meeting. <br /> � Council PZeeting - May 23, 1977 <br /> � <br /> Mr. Bill Fenholt, Orono School District #278 <br /> � Business Manager, and Mr. Don Ariderson, School <br /> Board member, commented on the present economic <br /> � conditions that exist and stated that with the <br /> � cut-back in State Aid, the School District <br /> has to find ways to reduce their expenditures. <br /> � <br /> P•4r.
