Motion, Ayes (3) - <br /> * Nays (0) . <br /> � ORDINANCE NO, 187 <br /> � THE CITY OF OROP10 ORDAINS: <br /> � Section 1, Chapter 63 of the Municipal Code of the <br /> City of Orono is amended by amending Sections 63,010, <br /> � 63s020, 63,030 and 63.150 as follows: <br /> � Section 630010. Lote Any lot for which a deed or <br /> � registered land survey has been recorded in the <br /> office of the Registrar af Deeds or the Registrar of <br /> + Titles for Hennepin County, l�Iinnesota or combination <br /> of lots necessary to meet the minimum lot area <br /> • for the Zoning Code for that use district. <br /> ` Section 63,020. License Required. No person shall <br /> ` own, harbor or keep a dog over the age of six months <br /> unless a current license for such dog has been <br /> � obtained as herein provided; except also that any <br /> �og kept for, or by, a blind person and recognized <br /> � as a guide or seeing-eye dog shall be exempt from <br /> this provisiono The owner of any dog 'brought into <br /> � the City of Orono shal� immediately procure a license <br /> . for such animal. Dog licenses shall be valid for the <br /> whole or unexpired portion of the two-year period <br /> � ending in January 1 of the next odd nurlbered year <br /> following the first effective date of the license. <br /> • <br /> Section 63o030e License Fees and Requirementso Dog <br /> • licenses shall be issued by the City Clerk upon <br /> . presentation of a current, valid rabies vaccination <br /> certificate and upon payment of a license fee of <br /> � $8. 00 if issued in an odd numbered year and $4.00 <br /> if issuec� in an even numbered year. Dogs confined <br /> � to a kennel need not be. lic�nsed, provided that such <br /> kennel is licensed as provided by Section 63e180. <br /> ! <br /> Section 63.110. Public Nuisance> The ke�ping of <br /> • more than two dogs over the age of six months `on <br /> � any lot or combination of lots necessary to meet <br /> the minimum requirement of the Zoning Code for <br /> � that use district, except by special permission of <br /> the City Council, shall be deemed a public nuisance <br /> � and unlawful, The keeping of a dog or dogs that <br /> nnoy other persons by barking, howling or baying <br /> etween the hours of 10000 p.me and 6000 a.m. shall <br /> be deemed a public nuisance and unlawful; and upon <br /> � the written complaint of two or more neighbors shall <br /> � be abated upon order of the City Council within 48 hours, <br /> • (Continued) <br />
