The <br /> � single dock license usage on Cr�stal Bay was <br /> � discussed as was the intent of the resolution <br /> approving the marina license, It was expressed <br /> � by Councilman Paurus that the marinas in general <br /> were very receptive to the new proposals <br /> � establishing green areas and replanting areas <br /> adjacent to Lake I�Iinnetonka that had previously <br /> � been destroyed. It was noted that five of the <br /> eight marinas had conformed to the regulations <br /> � as requested. <br /> • <br /> • R2r. Paul Kempf asked why the City Council was <br /> concerned with the dock usage across from the <br /> � North Star Marina located on Crystal Bay <br /> stating that the boat docked at this location <br /> � is used for commercial p�irposes, customers <br /> board and unboard there in conjunction with the <br /> marina operation and felt that the boat, which <br /> is used for charter and rental, conforms with <br /> the intended use of the �rea. Mayor Searles <br /> • repeated the Minutes of May 24, 1971 stating <br /> the conditions subject to the approval of single <br /> � docic usage, <br /> � P,egular F�Teeting of the Orono Council, P"_ay 24, 1971e <br /> � 'Dorn moved, Searles seconded, that the request <br /> of the North Star Marina for a single dock <br /> � license on CY�ystal Bay be approved because of <br /> � the unique positioning of the property, the <br /> hardship due to the height restriction of the <br /> � bridges having access to AZaxwell Bay, and <br /> because of the prior license authorization for <br /> � a service dock on the Crystal Bay side of the <br /> roadway, and in recognition of the claim to <br /> • riparian ownership of the shoreline of Crystal Bay. <br /> � Tnat the dock be restricted to the use of one <br /> � watercraft and the licensee by accepting the <br /> permit acknowledges that the use cannot be <br /> � extended beyond one watercraft and that the <br /> watercraft be for the sole and private use <br /> • of the owner of the land and his guests or <br /> family and such use may not be commercial <br /> � or quasi-commercial in nature.
