The City <br /> Council instructed the staff to file necessary <br /> � documents with the County Auditor. <br /> • <br /> TZr. Henry Muhich, Building & Zoning Administrator, RELOCATE PUBLIC j�lORKS <br /> • reported to the City Council that the Planning DEPARTMENT <br /> � Commission has studied the relocation of the Public <br /> Works Department and has considered all the properties <br /> � listed in T�Iro Charles Kallestad's, subcommittee chair- <br /> rnan, report which statess <br /> i Public Works Relocation Recommendations: <br /> � SIZEo The City Administration Office has come up <br /> with a recommendation of approximately 10 to 15 <br /> � acres allowing for present needs as well as future <br /> growth planso This area takes into consideration <br /> storage of sand, rock and other materials to be <br /> stored outside in addition to several buildings <br /> to house road and construction equipmento Possible <br /> � future addition of a City Fire Department would be <br /> allowable within this acreage size. <br /> � LOCATIONe Location should be away from residential <br /> � property and ideally located within or near Industrial <br /> or Ligh Industrial zoning, This would be in keeping <br /> • with a logical land use within zoning areas. <br /> � FRENCH LAKE SITEe Presently sand, rock and other <br /> materials are stored at the French Lake sitee This <br /> r site consists of approximately 40 acres of which <br /> 12 acres are usable and the remainder is in water <br /> � or lowlands. Approxmiately 6 acres of the 12 usable <br /> e are wooded and hilly and 2 acres of the 12 acres <br /> belong to the Metro Sewer Board. The t-Tetro Sewer <br /> � also owns the approximately 20 acres settling pond. <br /> These pro�,erties will eventually revert to the City <br /> � when the sewer is phased out which could be from <br /> 2 to 5 years. The French Lake property is situated <br /> � in the midcile of residential propertye <br /> � P�SSIBLE SITES: I,. The Eisinger property abuts <br /> Highway 12 on the south about 1 mile west of Old <br /> � Crystal Bay Road, Mr. Eisinger has wanted to fill <br /> the area for a dump for sometime but has not been <br /> able to. The area consists of about 28 acres but <br /> � would need filling, Access is good both from Highway <br /> 12 and County Road 6. Drawback is filling might <br /> � cut off water passage from Lake Classen to TZinnetonka. <br /> i (Continued) <br />
