The letter from Acting <br /> Chief Dressel was requested by the Council to <br /> � be written into the Nlinutes; �lso, the letter <br /> and map filed as � permanent reference to the <br /> � future location of Highway �12. <br /> • Butler moved, Welsh seconded, that the letter FUTURE HIGHWAY #12 <br /> from Acting Chief Dressel, with the map showing <br /> • the future location of Highway �12, be accepted. <br /> � Motion, Ayes (5) - Nays (0) e <br /> , "On November 12, 1974, I received a call from LETTER <br /> Dennis S. Luoto, Project Engineer for the Minne- <br /> � sota Highway Department. He wanted to have a <br /> meeting with the Wayzata Police Chief, the Minnesota <br /> • Highway Patrol, and the Orono Police Chief on <br /> • November 13, 1974 at 2:0� P.r2. at the field office <br /> on the new U.S. 12 going through Wayzata to go <br /> � over the opening of the highway on Friday. <br /> + At this time, Mr. Luoto gave us maps of the new <br /> highway that was to open on November 15, 1974. <br /> � T�Ir. Luoto showed us a map of future U.S. 12 <br /> that is to continue through Orono and past t�iaple <br /> • Plain to tie into the old U.S. 12 at that point. <br /> I asked i�ro Luoto if we could have a map of the <br /> �` future U.S. 12. He gave me his card and asked <br /> i me to call him at a later date. <br /> � I contacted Dennis Luoto on November 20, 1974 <br /> and asked him if I could get a copy of the future <br /> • U.S. 12 through the Village of Orono. P3r. Luoto <br /> stated he would get a copy for me and call me <br /> � when he had it done. On the morning of November 21, <br /> � 1974, I received a call from rsr. Luoto and he <br /> stated he would have the copy at the Wayzata <br /> � field office at 11�00 A. P4e and I could come <br /> down and pick it up.
