You may <br /> have also noticed that the grass on the portion of the lot below the retaining wall has begun to <br /> die. Its removal is the first step in creating a vegeta.tive buffer for the wetland. This is a code <br /> requirement when new houses are constructed on lots that contain a wetland. <br /> It appears that when the area around the pond is mowed the portion of the 2175 property below <br /> the retaining wall is also being mowed. This should no longer be done as it would be a violation <br /> of City ordinances as well as the covenant that will be placed on this area.
