General Specifications <br /> These specifications shall specify the construction of a new residence for David and Christine <br /> Hardten, husband and wife, hereinafter refened to as Owner, by George C. Maurer Construction, Inc. <br /> These specifications cover the labor and materials necessary for the construction of the home according to <br /> plan number- 990107, submitted herewith to be erected at Tract C of RL.S. No. 1428, Hennepin <br /> County. <br /> Public Utilities At Home Site — See Allowance <br /> • Public Water at Property Line <br /> • Public Sewer at Property Line <br /> • Natural Gas at Property Line <br /> • Storm Sewer available <br /> • All, if any, special assessments are the responsibilty of the Owner. <br /> Existing Structure Demolition and Removal <br /> The existing structure, if any, including the foundation shall be demolished and removed by the <br /> Contractor. Hauling, dump fees and or salvage values sha11 be the responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> Tree Removal <br /> Tree removal required for the building and accomplishment of the grading plan sha11 be the <br /> responsibility of the Contractor. <br /> Excavating, Back filling and Grading <br /> The work under this section sha11 consist of furnishing all equipment and performing the necessary <br /> labor for the excavation work as shown on the aforementioned grading plan. Builder shall excavate to a <br /> depth required, or to a solid formation suitable for the foundation and to dimensions one-foot greater in <br /> size than outside foundation dimensions of the masonry. The topsoil removed from the excavation shall be <br /> stored on the building site. Sufficient clean excavated material shall be retained to bring the grade up to <br /> the necessary level to receive the topsoil. It sha11 be the obligation of the builder to adequately brace and <br /> shore the foundation wa11s prior to back filling operation. The Builder sha11 do all necessary rough grading <br /> in accordance with the finished grades established by the Grading Plan, allowing for proper drainage from <br /> building with this to include placing topsoil from the storage pile. Cost of retaining walls, landscaping <br /> berms and additional excavation material not necessitated by the grading plan sha11 be the responsibility of <br /> the Owner. If any retaining wa11s are to be included, see allowance. <br /> 2 <br />
