There shall be no more than four temporary business signs issucd per calendar year,and for a period of not more than ten days per <br /> time or of the duration of the event promoted by the sign message,whichever is less.The sign(i�cluding banners or balloons),sign supports or <br /> portab]e stand shall be removcd from public view at the end of the period.Total area of the sign shall not exceed 32 square fcct per surface(64 <br /> square feet total signagc allowcd for two-sidcd portable sign).Advertising balloons are oot subject to arca restrictions but must meet all <br /> applicable federal and state standards. <br /> b. Thc owner or manager of the sign and the owner of the propeRy shall be equally responsiblc for the proper location,maintenancc and <br /> rcmoval of thc sign.All tcmporary signs shall bc locatcd on a propcRy so that thcy do not impcdc safcty by obstructing vision of pcdcstrians or <br /> motor vchicic operators. <br /> Scc.78-1468.Signs in B and I districts. <br /> Within thc B and 1 districts,namcplatc signs and business signs arc permittcd subjcct to thc following rcgulations: <br /> (1) B-1,B-2 and B-4:sizc.Within thc B-1,B-2 and B-4 districts,thc aggrcgatc squarc footagc of sign spacc per lot shall not <br /> excccd thc sum of onc squarc foot for cach front foot of building,plus onc squarc foot for cach front foot oT lot not occupicd by a building.No <br /> individual sign shall cxcccd 50 squarc fcct. <br /> (2) B-3:sizc.Within thc B-3 distnct,the aggregatc square footage of sign space per lot shall not excecd the sum of four squarc <br /> feet per front foot of building,plus one square foot per front foot of property not occupicd by a building.No individual sign surface shall excecd <br /> 100 squarc fcet. <br /> (3) I:size.Within any I district,the aggregate square footage of sign space per lot shall�ot excccd the sum of four square feet <br /> per front foot of building,plus onc square foot per front foot of property not occupicd by a building.No individual sign surfacc shall cxcccd 100 <br /> square feet. <br /> (4) B-1,B-2 and B-4:hcight.Within the B-1,B-2 and B-4 districts,no sign shall extcnd in hcight moro than two feet above the <br /> highest outside wall or parapct of any principal building,nor shall any sign be located closer than te�fcct from any property line;except that any <br /> sign over ten square feet may project two feet into any required yard area from the principal building. <br /> (5) B-3 and I:hcight.Within any B-3 or l district,no sign shall extend in height morc than six feet in height above the highest <br /> outsidc wall or parapct of a�y principal building.No sign shall be located closer than ten feet from any property line,excep[that any sign <br /> cxcceding tcn squarc fcct may project only two fcet into the yard area from any building. <br /> (Code 1984,§ 10.61(3)) <br /> Please Note: This is only an application for a permit.
