� <br /> 11.2 CHANGE IN CONTRA T PRICE � <br /> 11.2.1 Except where u it prices form the basis for payment under the Contract Documents, the <br /> Contract Price may only be changed by a Change Order. Any claim for an increase in the Contract , <br /> Price shall be based on written notice delivered to Owner and Engineer within ten (10) days of the <br /> occurrence of the event giving rise to the claim. Notice of the amount of the claim with supporting <br /> data shall be delivered within thirty (30) days of such occurrence unless Engineer allows an � <br /> additional period of time to ascertain accurate cost data. All claims for adjustment in the Contract <br /> Price shall be determined by Engineer if Owner and Contractor cannot otherwise agree on the <br /> amount involved. Any change in the Contract Price resulting from any such claim shall be � <br /> incorporated in a Change Order. <br /> 11.2.2 Where unit prices form the basis of payment and the quantity of any item of Work as given � <br /> in the Proposal is increased or decreased, payment for such item will be made on the basis of actual <br /> c�uantity completed, at the contract unit price for such item. � <br /> 11.3 BASIS OF CHANGE <br /> The method of determining the cost or credit to the Owner resulting from a change in the work shall � <br /> be deternuned and mutually agreed upon by Owner and Contractor in advance of perfor�nance of the <br /> change in work in one or more of the following ways: � <br /> 11.3.1 By mutual acceptance of a lump sum properly itemized, � <br /> 11.3.2 By unit prices stated in the Contract Documents or subsequently agreed upon (unit prices � <br /> shall �nclude an allowance for Contractor's main office expense, overhead, profit and bond), or <br /> 11.3.3 By actual cost of the changed work, lus an allowance for overhead su ervision an � <br /> P , p d profit, <br /> as defined as follows: <br /> � <br /> 1. The "cost of the changed work" shall mean costs necessarily incurred in the proper <br /> performance of the changed work and paid by Contractor at rates not higher than the standard paid <br /> in the locality of the work(exeept with prior consent of the Qwner) as more specifically df;fined as � <br /> follows: <br /> a.
