EOUIPMENT INSPECTION AND WORKMANSHIP <br /> 8.1 MATERIALS AND EOUIPMENT FURNISHED BY CONTRACTOR � <br /> 8.L 1 Contractor shall furnish all materials,equipment, labor,transportation,construction equipment �� <br /> and machinery, tools, appliances,fuel,power,light, heat,telephone, water and sanitary facilities and <br /> all other facilities and incidentals necessary for the execution, testing, initial operation and <br /> completion of the Work. � <br /> 8.1.2 All materials used in the Work sha11 be of good qua�ity, new unless otherwise provided for in � <br /> the Contract Documents, shall meet the requirements of the Specifications, and shall not be <br /> incorporated into the Work until reviewed by the Engineer. If required by Engineer,Contractor shall � <br /> furnish satisfactory evidence (including reports of required tests) as to the kind and quality of � <br /> materials and equipment. <br /> 8.1.3 All materials and equipment shall be applied, installed, connected, erected, used, cleaned and � <br /> conditioned in accordance with the instructions of the applicable manufacturer, fabricatar, supplier <br /> or distributor, except as otherwise provided in the Contract Documents. <br /> 8.2 EOUI�ALENT MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT � <br /> Whenever tnaterials or equigment are specified or described in the Drawings or Specificatio�s b_y � <br /> using the name of a proprietary item or the name of a particular manufacturer, fabricator, supplier <br /> or distributor, the naming of the item is intended to establish the type, function and quality required. <br /> Unless the name is followed by words indicating that no substitution is permitted, materials or ,� <br /> equipment of other manufacturers,fabricators,suppliers or distributors may be accepted by Engineer <br /> if sufficient information is submitted by Contractor to allow Engineer to determine that the material � <br /> or equipment proposed is equivalent to that named.
