Project first course af shingles 3/4 inch beyond fascia boards. � <br /> D. Extend shingles 1/2 inch beyond face of gable edge fascia boards. <br /> E. Extend shingles on one slope across valley and£asten. Trim shingles from other <br /> slope 2 inches from valley center line to achieve closed cut valley, concealing the � <br /> valley grotection. <br /> F. Cap hips and ridges with individual shingles, maintaining 5 inch weather exposure. <br /> Place to avoid exposed nails. <br /> G. Coordirrnte installation of roof mounted components or work projecting through <br /> roof with weather tight placement of counter flashings. <br /> H.
