Mike Gaffron
From: Mark<markg@gronbergassoc.com>
Sent: Tuesday, May 17, 2016 5:02 PM
To: Mike Gaffron
Cc: Adam Edwards; Scott.Gronholz@wellsfargo.com
Subject: RE: 1070 Hunter Drive
I get 1.1 acres of disturbance not including the septic area that will also need to be disturbed. I will prepare the SWPPP
plan and get the application ready for a NPDES permit.
In talking with the builder he has someone working on the engineering for the retaining walls.
From: Mike Gaffron [mailto:MGaffron@ci.orono.mn.us]
Sent:Tuesday, May 17, 2016 1:36 PM
To: 'Mark'<markg@gronbergassoc.com>
Cc:Adam Edwards<aedwards@ci.orono.mn.us>; 'Scott.Gronholz@wellsfargo.com'<Scott.Gronholz@wellsfargo.com>
Subject: 1070 Hunter Drive
Mark—
We have received the rain garden calculations and revised survey for 1070 Hunter Drive. I have reviewed the revised
floor elevations and find that the confirmed highest existing adjacent grade of 1019.4' and lowering of the house by
approximately 2.5 feet have resulted in defined height being just under 30'which conforms to the code. Accordingly I
have approved the zoning review. However, in reviewing the site plan there are two grading issues that need additional
information before we can issue the permit:
1) We will need engineering on the retaining walls that exceed 4 feet in height.
2) We need a calculation on the square footage of ground to be disturbed, as it appears to be close to an acre and
may require an NPDES permit.
Please provide the required information as soon as possible. Call me or Adam if you have any questions.
Mike
Michael P.Gaffron
Senior Planner
City of Orono
(Street Address)2750 Kelley Parkway
(Mailing Address)P.O.Box 66,Crystal Bay,MN 55323
Phone:(952)249-4622
Fax: (952)249-4616
1
