Hollander
Case File 27-CR-08-25585
200 Hollander Road
Dear Ken:
On August 20 you advised me that Orono had reported that the grass required mowing
at Hollander's property. I informed Mr. Hollander that same day that Orono demanded that he
mow the grass. You may recall that the weather was rainy at or about that time. In any event,
Mr. Hollander reported back to me on August 25 that he had started mowing the grass but that
his mower failed. On August 31, you advised me by letter that Orono demanded that Mr.
Hollander mow his grass. I contacted Mr. Hollander that same day. He responded that he had
contacted an acquaintance regarding repair of the mower. The earliest the repair might be
made is September 3.
As you will recall, Mr. Hollander has a limited income. He is financially unable to
hire a lawn care service or a professional repairman to repair the mower. I also discussed Mr.
Hollander's situation with Interfaith Outreach and asked if it could provide lawn service. I
received no defuute response. At this time, Mr. Hollaader is hopeful that his acquaintance can
repair the mower.
If the City of Orono can direct Mr. Hollander to a social service provider that might
assist with the lawn issue, Mr. Hollander would be grateful.
Sincerely,
G RY A.
