Seran and Renee N. Seran, husband and wife, <br /> (hereinafter "Owners") are the owners of the property located at 4099 Highwood Road within <br /> the City of Orono (hereinafter "City") and legally described as: Lot 14, Highwood Lake <br /> Nlinnetonka, Hennepin County, Minnesota(hereinafter "the Property"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owners have made application to the City for renewal of a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-330 to construct an attached garage nine feet <br /> from the northwesterly property line when a 10 foot setback is required; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owners have made application to the City for renewal of a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Section 78-1288 allowing 46.1 percent hardcover in the 75 <br /> to 250 foot zone when the normal maximum is 25 percent and 49.3 percent was previously <br /> approved to permit the construction of an attached garage and new driveway; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owners have made application to the City for renewal of a <br /> variance to Municipal Zoning Code Se�tinr� 7R-�404 allo�,��in� 1 R.4 per�ent structur�l ccveraQe <br /> when the nolmal maximum is 15 percent to permit the existing detached �arage/shed to be <br /> replaced by an attached garage/entry of the same foundation area; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Owners have made application to the City for renewal of a <br /> variance to Municipal Zonin� Code Section 78-330 to construct an attached gara�e with three <br /> defined stories when the maximum is two and a half defined stories; and <br /> WHEREAS, after due published notice and mailed notice in accordance with <br /> Minnesota Statutes and the City of Orono Zoning and Planning Codes, the Orono City Council <br /> waived the Planning Commission review and held a public heanng on September 14, 2009, at <br /> which times all persons desiring to be heard concerning this application were given the <br /> opportunity to speak thereon. <br /> Pa�e 1 of 5 <br />
