NAVARRE STREET LIGHTS – DESIGN SERVICE PROPOSALS, Continued) <br /> <br />McMillan asked if the cost information will be available at the October Navarre meeting. <br /> <br />Struve indicated it will not be available in October, but that some preliminary information can be <br />provided at that meeting. <br /> <br />Printup moved, Anderson seconded, to approve the Navarre Street Light Design Services Proposal <br />from Bolton and Menk in the amount of $24,650. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />*8. PAY REQUEST NO. 3 – WILLOW DRIVE RECONSTRUCTON PROJECT <br /> <br />Levang moved, Printup seconded, to approve Pay Request No. 3 for the contractor C.S. McCrossan <br />in the amount of $14,065.22 for the Willow Drive Reconstruction Project. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br />9. FLAIL MOWER REPLACEMENT <br /> <br />Levang asked what is going to happen with the old mower. <br /> <br />Struve indicated it will be traded in. <br /> <br />Levang asked if the City is receiving a fair price on that mower. <br /> <br />Struve indicated they are but noted the mower is not in good condition, which is the reason it needs to be <br />replaced. Struve stated the mower is not used on lawns and is utilized in ditches so it encounters trees, <br />rocks and random pieces of metal which necessitates it be replaced. <br /> <br />Levang asked if eight years is what the Public Works Department thought it would last. <br /> <br />Struve stated this will be the ninth year and that the estimate was eight to ten years. <br /> <br />Levang moved, Bremer seconded, to approve the purchase of side and rear mount mowers in the <br />amount of $16,600.89. VOTE: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />10. GOLF COURSE VOLUNTEERS – REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL FUNDS <br /> <br />Struve stated throughout the year the volunteers have removed a substantial amount of buckthorn, <br />replaced the roof on the maintenance facility, and performed some scraping on the building which led <br />them to discover additional needs, especially in the storm window department. As part of that process, <br />the Public Works Department has approved the two roofs on the clubhouse maintenance facility and some <br />other work. The new concrete entrance will be installed tomorrow. <br /> <br />Struve indicated the volunteer group does have some additional projects they would like to do, including <br />painting of both facilities, installing a garage door on the maintenance facility, and potentially some <br />electrical work to get the water fountain pump operable and replacement of the storm windows.
