Short-Term Rentals <br /> may negatively impact some neighborhoods because users may not have the same interest in the <br /> welfare of the neighborhood as more permanent residents. The City is considering an ordinance to <br /> regulate these uses, either prohibiting short term rentals, or by establishing standards for the protection <br /> of the renter, neighborhood, and community at large. <br /> The Planning Commission invites public comment at its workshop on 3 February, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at <br /> the Orono City Hall.
