Section 26-31 Defini�ions of the City of Orono Municipal Code is <br /> hereby amended by adding the following text: <br /> Rent shall me for the ose of this definition leasin subleasin lettin or hirin for <br /> occupanc� <br /> Short-term rental shatl mean the rental to a nerson or�roup of persons a residential unit for a <br /> period of less than thirtv (30)consecutive calendar days in a zonin district where residential <br /> uses are allowed. <br /> Short-term rental propertv means a parcel of real propert�and includes the premises upon which <br /> a short-term rental unit is located and the parkin�r areas driveways landscapzzzg accessory <br /> structures, fences,walls, swimmin�pools,hot tubs and spas. <br /> SECTION 2. Article IV.—Short Term Rentals of the City of Orono Municipal <br /> Code is hereby added by adding the following text: <br /> Section 26-80—Shart term rental licenses <br /> (a) Purpose. The use of residential pzopertv for short term rental has the potential for <br /> increased traffic con�estion on the streets noise and dzsrespectful activitv ta the <br /> detriment of the nei borhood.
