GREEN TREES ROAD SANITARY SEWER EXTENSION – ASSESSMENT <br />ASSIGNMENTS <br /> <br />Bremer moved, Printup seconded, to approve the assessment agreement for each of the six <br />properties on Green Trees Road listed in Staff’s report dated October 13, 2014. VOTE: Ayes 4, <br />Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*14. REST POINT ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS – PAY REQUEST NO. 1 <br /> <br />Bremer moved, Printup seconded, to approve Pay Request No. 1 for the contractor Northwest <br />Asphalt in the amount of $85,155.82 for the Rest Point Road Street Improvements Project. VOTE: <br />Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*15. CARMAN BAY SHORELINE RESTORATION PROJECT – PAY REQUEST NO. 5 <br /> <br />Bremer moved, Printup seconded, to approve Pay Request No. 5 for the contractor Sunram <br />Construction, Inc., in the amount of $1,760.54 for the Carman Bay Shoreline Restoration Project. <br />VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br />MAYOR/COUNCIL REPORT <br /> <br />Levang reported the donation garden is now closed and that approximately one ton of produce was grown <br />and delivered to WeCan and the Gillepsie Center. <br /> <br />Levang noted the Mayor and herself did attend the work session on affordable housing in Long Lake but <br />that they were not formally invited to attend. <br /> <br />Bremer welcomed Adam Edwards to Orono. Bremer noted she has received a few emails on the Navarre <br />lighting project and that she is happy to be able to tell them that the project should be completed in the <br />next few days. <br /> <br />McMillan stated two weeks ago she attended the Westonka Community Forum with the local mayors and <br />that she received a number of compliments on the police services being provided by Orono. McMillan <br />stated Andrew Mack was also in attendance and that there was a good showing of interested citizens from <br />Navarre. <br /> <br /> <br />CITY ADMINSTRATOR’S REPORT <br /> <br />Loftus noted the third quarter report shows the City is on budget and that Staff had a good meeting with <br />FEMA on October 3. Loftus indicated Staff is cautiously optimistic the City will recover a good portion <br />of the expenses incurred by Orono as a result of the flooding this spring/summer. <br /> <br />Loftus stated the hiring committee is down to the top six candidates for the city clerk position.
