WATERTOWN ROAD AND MSA FUNDING PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION, Continued) <br /> <br />Martini stated if the City is considering any portion of this for 2015, Staff would be looking for <br />authorization to begin surveying work. <br /> <br />The City Council took no formal action on this item. <br /> <br /> <br />PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/CITY ENGINEER’S REPORT <br /> <br />Edwards noted back in the spring the Council approved a bond to allow for improvements to the water <br />system. Since the bond was approved, the rehabilitation on the northern water tower has been completed <br />and is under a five-year maintenance contract. <br /> <br />Bolton & Menk is in the final stages of putting together the plans and specs for the well house on the <br />northern system and the Navarre treatment plant. Bidding is expected to happen this fall with <br />construction occurring during the winter. <br /> <br />Edwards stated the final part of the water system improvements is drilling of a second well for the <br />northern system. Bolton & Menk is still looking at site options for where that well can be located and that <br />Staff is hoping to drill that well in the spring of 2015. <br /> <br />Edwards reported the poles for the Navarre street light project are due to be delivered tomorrow and will <br />be installed over the next few days. In addition, some sidewalk re-pavement work will be completed as <br />part of that project. <br /> <br /> <br />*10. MINNIE AVENUE DRAINAGE <br /> <br />The City Council took no formal action on this item. <br /> <br /> <br />*11. LURTON PARK IMPROVEMENTS <br /> <br />Bremer moved, Printup seconded, to accept the $8,625.00 cost to make the Lurton Park <br />improvements from the Lurton Park Maintenance Fund. VOTE: Ayes 4, Nays 0. <br /> <br /> <br />*12. ACCEPT QUOTATION FOR STUBBS BAY ROAD NORTH CULVERT REPAIR <br /> <br />Bremer moved, Printup seconded, to accept the quotation from Olson Construction in the amount <br />of $8,156.00, and authorize repair of the culvert at Stubbs Bay Road North.
