s � <br /> SUMMARY OF ORDINANCE NO. ,THIRD SERIES <br /> ORDINANCE NO , THIRD SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 14 OF <br /> THE ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> BY ADDING SECTION 14-142 <br /> REGARDING AMENDING THE MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING <br /> AN ORDINANCE FOR PROTECTING THE CITY'S WELLHEADS BY PROHIBITING <br /> NEW PRIVATE WELLS WHERE PUBLIC WATER SUPPLY IS AVAILABLE <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL OF ORONO ORDAINS: <br /> SECTION 1. Orono Municipal Code Section 14-142 regarding Wellhead Protection - <br /> New Private Wells Prohibited is hereby adopted to read that the owners of all buildings where a <br /> public water supply is available, or becomes available, shall connect the buildings to the public <br /> water supply, subject to the certain conditions and all existing private wells no longer in use shall be <br /> sealed by a licensed well contractor according to the Rules of the Minnesota Department of Health. <br /> SECTION 2. establishes that a summary of this Ordinance shall be published in THE <br /> PIONEER and THE LAKER newspapers and that the Ordinance in its entirety shall be effective <br /> upon approval and publication of the Summary Ordinance. <br /> This Summary Ordinance is an abbreviated summary of Ordinance No. , Third Series. A printed <br /> copy of Ordinance No. ,Third Series in its entirety is available for inspection by any person at the <br /> office of the City Clerk during regular office hours.
