A check of city records found that there was no building <br /> permit issued for the project and that it was in violation of city ordinances. The property <br /> owners Paul and Megan Bennett were first notified of the violation on 8-27-2007. Since <br /> that time there has been much discussion and correspondence regarding the issue. At this <br /> point the Bennetts are refusing to remove the structure or seek approval through the <br /> variance process. The city would like you to take legal action to require the roof structure <br /> to be removed. Enclosed are the code sections violated and the letters sent between the <br /> city and the Bennetts.
