in the process of constructing the driveway <br /> unless previous approval , in writing, has been <br /> granted by the Public Works Director . <br /> D. Driveway culverts shall be provided and <br /> installed by the owner as required by the Public <br /> Works Director . <br /> E. Driveways shall not be constructed over curb <br /> stops, catch basins or other structures, if at <br /> all possible. If there is not other feasible <br /> location for the driveway, it shall be the <br /> responsibility of the applicant to set the curb <br /> stop, catch basin cover, or any other structures <br /> flush with the final driveway surface. <br /> F. The owner and contractor shall protect the <br /> public from injury or damage during the <br /> construction of the sidewalk, curb and gutter, <br /> driveway, driveway approach, driv�:aay <br /> � turnarou�d, curb cuts , roadway surfacing or <br /> private improvement in any private road or other <br /> private property in the City and any permit <br /> issued pursuant to this Ordinance shall contain <br /> the agreement of the apolicant that the City <br /> shall not be liable for damage which may arise <br /> from the result of work, and that the aoglicant <br /> will hold the City harmless for any liability <br /> incurred by the City as a result of such <br /> activity. <br /> G. Trees or shrubs shall not be placed adjacent to <br /> a driveway so as to constitute a site distance <br /> problem. <br /> H. If a parcel of lan� has frontage on both a <br /> cul-de-sac portion and a " lead-in" portion of <br /> the private road, the driveway shall be <br /> constructed off the "lead-in" portion of the <br /> private road and not the cul-de-sac . <br /> Subd. 9 . Resident Driveways , Approaches and Turnarounds . <br /> A. One driveway approach shall be allowed from up <br /> to two single residential parcels of land to the <br /> same private road provided that appropriate <br /> easements exist between parties sharing the <br /> driveway and drive�aay approach. Parcels having <br /> frontage on more than one private road shall be <br /> allowed a driveway approach to one private road. <br /> -14- <br />
