, <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 54, Second Series <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 6.01, 6.05 and 6.06 OF THE <br /> CITY OF ORONO MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO <br /> IMPROVEMENTS ON PUBLIC AND PRIVATE ROADS AND RIGHTS OF WAY <br /> THE CITY OF ORONO DOES ORDAIN: � <br /> Section 6.01, Subdivisions 1, 2, 3 and 4 of the City of Orono <br /> Municipal Code are hereby deleted. A new section 6.01 is added to <br /> read as follows: <br /> Section 6.01 DEFINITIONS. <br /> Subd. 1. Except as otherwise defined in the City Code, <br /> or where the context clearly indicates a contrary intent, the <br /> words and terms defined in Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 169 shall <br /> be applicable to the City Code, Chapters 6, 7 and 8. The <br /> following words and terms, when used in this Ordinance, shall have <br /> the following meanings, unless the context indicates otherwise: <br /> A. "Corner" means the point of intersection of the <br /> extension of lines of two public or private curb faces. <br /> B. "Curb Cut" means the opening along a street curb <br /> line or pavement edge for the purpose of motor vehicle <br /> ingress and egress from a roadway. Curb cut width shall <br /> include the width of the driveway approach and of the <br /> curb returns, if any. <br /> C. "Curb Return" means that portion of a curb next to a <br /> driveway approach which includes the radius or curvature <br /> or the ramp-type lug on commercial or industrial type <br /> pavements and which connects the driveway approach to the <br /> public or private road curb. <br /> D. "Driveway" means a paved or otherwise delineated <br /> area on private property for the operation of automobiles <br /> and other vehicles. � <br /> E. "Driveway Approach" means a paved or otherwise <br /> delineated area, on the ri ght-of-way between the roadway <br /> of a public or private road and private property, <br /> intended to provide ingress and egress for vehicles from <br /> a private or public road to private property. A driveway <br /> approach must provide access to a parking area, a <br /> driveway, a door intended and used for the entrance of <br /> vehicles, or other similar structure or facility. <br /> Driveway approaches shall be of two classes : a) resident <br /> driveway approaches ; and b) business driveway approaches. <br />
