R , <br /> ORDINANCE NDI�ER 36 , SECOND SERIES <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 9.18 AND ENTITLED 'DANGEROQS <br /> WEAPONS AND ARTICLES" . <br /> The City Council of the City of Orono ordains: <br /> Ordinance Number 9.1P! and entitled "Dangerous Weapons and <br /> Articles" is amended to read: <br /> Subdivision 7.A. Permits , Occasional. Occasional <br /> permits valid for a period of fifteen (15) days or less may be <br /> granted to clubs or persons as follows : <br /> ' 1 . Occasional target shooting or trap and skeet <br /> shooting; <br /> 2. Field trials, commercial or professional exhibitions <br /> or displays, or any similar or lawful purpose as determined by <br /> the City Clerk. <br /> Subdivision 7.B. Permits, Commercial or Agricultural. <br /> Commercial or agricultural permits may be granted up to a maximum <br /> of 120 days as established by the Administrator to persons or <br /> clubs meeting all the following criteria: <br /> A. For control of pests , vermin, rodents , or other <br /> animal nuisances, such as deer hunting by bow and arrow during <br /> appropriate season, or other animals that are a demonstrated <br /> nuisance. <br /> B. Where there are no other appropriate methods <br /> available. <br /> C. Where there is a demonstrated need for a lonqar <br /> dur�tion of time for predator control such as a bow and arrow <br /> deer season or growing season in agricultural situations . <br /> Subdivision 7.C. Occasional permits valid for a period <br /> under 7A or 7B as deemed appropriate may be granted to clubs or <br /> persons as follows: <br /> A. The discharge of bow and arrow will be allowed <br /> on an occasional basis to remove problematic animals including <br /> game animals when an individual hunter has obtained a permit <br /> issued by the Chief of Police subject to the following <br /> circumstances: <br /> 1. There is a demonstrated nuisance of that animal <br /> to that property owner. <br /> 2. Property owner has specifically given written <br /> permission to a hunter and that hunter has the <br /> appropriate state hunting permit . � <br /> 3. That no discharging be done within 1f�0 feet of <br /> any property line, within 100 feet of any buildings <br /> 2 <br />
