persons performing Services for the City of Spring Park shall be the <br />responsibility of the City of Spring Park, or its consultants, and regular <br />time rates shall be paid by the City of Spring Park to the City of Orono <br />for personnel training hours. <br /> <br />b. Responsibilities of the City of Orono <br />i. Perform all investigation and maintenance of lift stations, the sewer <br />collection system, the water distribution system, and the municipal <br />water plant as necessary and, subject to the requirements of this <br />paragraph, do routine repairs or contract for repairs up to $10,000 <br />without additional specific authority from the City of Spring Park. All <br />such investigation and maintenance shall be performed only in response <br />to emergency call outs, except in cases where the City of Orono <br />determines, in the exercise of prudent judgment, that immediate <br />maintenance or repairs are required. Non-emergency maintenance or <br />repairs shall be deferred such that they may be performed by employees <br />or contractors of the City of Spring Park during their regular working <br />hours to the extent reasonable under the circumstances. <br />ii. Provide investigation reports, time sheets, invoices, receipts, and other <br />information for the permanent records kept by the City of Spring Park. <br />iii. At the request of the City of Spring Park, and in response to emergency <br />call out situations, investigate all work done on lift stations, the sewer <br />collection system, the water distribution system, and the municipal <br />water plant performed by others. <br />iv. The above services will be provided by the City of Orono to the City of <br />Spring Park on an emergency call out basis as requested by the City of <br />Spring Park for the following situations: <br />a. Regular standby service every other weekend alternating with <br />the current Spring Park utility service employee (not applicable <br />with a contractor); <br />b. During the vacation time of any Spring Park utility service <br />employee or contractor (not to exceed three weeks per year); <br />c. During the illness of any Spring Park utility service employee or <br />contractor (not to exceed seven consecutive days per instance); <br />d. During a transition period due to the retirement or replacement <br />of any Spring Park utility service employee (not to exceed 90 <br />days per year). <br /> <br />4. Administration Responsibility – Services rendered to the City of Spring Park shall be <br />performed in a good and workmanlike manner under the direction of the City of Orono.
