MINUTES OF THE , <br /> ORONO CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> Tuesday,May 28,2013 <br /> 7:00 o'clock p.m. <br /> (4. #13-3601 CITY OF ORONO— WETLANDS—ZONING ORDINANCE AMENDMENT, <br /> Continued) <br /> McMillan asked if the Watershed District is aware of the changes being proposed by Orono. <br /> Gaffron indicated they are aware of the changes and are on board with what the City is doing. <br /> VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> *5. #13-3602 CITY OF ORONO—RS DISTRICT HARDCOVER STANDARDS—ZONING <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> Anderson moved,Printup seconded,to adopt ORDINANCE NO. 105,Third Series,an Ordinance <br /> Amending Section 78-571 of the Orono City Zoning Code Regarding Hardcover in the RS Seasonal <br /> Recreational District. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS DIItECTOR/CITY ENGINEER'S REPORT <br /> Struve reported that the Orono Golf Course did receive the update to their liquor license. The new door <br /> on the club house has been installed. The weather unfortunately has not been cooperating to allow golfers <br /> to be out there but once the course is fully opened,the golfers will have some new options. <br /> Struve reported Orono Orchard road is in the final phases of the project. The contractor is in the process <br /> of raising manholes and castings as well as conducting some repairs of settlement issues that occurred <br /> over the winter. The final asphalt layer will be completed in mid-June and the landscaping is being <br /> finalized,which will close out the project. <br /> As part of a requirement of the Minnesota Department of Health,the City needs to complete a consumer <br /> confidence report for the City's water systems. A press release will be placed in the local newspaper so <br /> the residents can call City Hall to receive a copy of the report. The report will also be posted on the <br /> website for review as well. <br /> Levang commented she did visit the golf course yesterday and there were some people out there golfing. <br /> The new door looks good and allows more light into the facility. Levang commented she hopes the new <br /> liquor license will help improve business. <br /> Struve noted the new colored sidewalk will be installed once the weather improves. <br /> *6. 2013 SANITARY SEWER REHABILITATION PROJECT <br /> Anderson moved,Printup seconded,to award the contract for the 2013 Sanitary Sewer <br /> Rehabilitation Project to Visu-Sewer in the amount of$229,351.50. VOTE: Ayes 5,Nays 0. <br /> *7. 2012 ORONO STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECT—PROJECT CLOSEOUT <br /> Anderson moved,Printup seconded,to approve Pay Request No.3 for the contractor CS <br /> McCrossan Construction,Inc.,in the amount of$52,978.48 for the 2012 Street Maintenance <br /> Project.
