The applicants are <br /> proposing to construct a 3-stall garage addition and porch to their existing home. At that time the <br /> applicants were requesting a hardcover variance to allow 46.9% hardcover within the 75'-250' zone <br /> where 48.2%currently exists. <br /> Since the September meeting, the City Council has adopted revised hardcover regulations placing <br /> this lot in Tier 1 of the stormwater quality overlay district (SQOD) where up to 25%of the lot's total <br /> area is permitted to be hardcover. For the applicants' property the Tier 1 assignment allows them <br /> 5,296 square feet; their previous proposal resulted in 7,350 square feet or 34%of the total lot area. <br /> The planning commission directed the applicants to reassess their project and come back to the <br /> October meeting with additional hardcover reductions.
