Accessory Uses and Structures <br /> February 14,2013 . <br /> Page 3 <br /> 78-1431 thru 1440: Accessory Buildin�s <br /> - 1431 establishes that accessory buildings and structures on `through' lots <br /> must meet required principal structure setbacks. <br /> - 1433 limits the height of accessory buildings (but not accessory <br /> structures...) to the height of the principal building but in no case more <br /> than 30' in height. The distinction between buildings and structures <br /> needs to be addressed in this and perhaps other sections <br /> - 1434 limits the footprint size of accessory structures, as well as the height <br /> and location of oversize accessory structures. Again, the <br /> interchangeability of the terms structure and building needs to be <br /> reviewed... <br /> - 1435 prohibits accessory buildings located nearer the street than the <br /> principal building,but also has provisions for lakeshore lots. <br /> - 1436 requires a 15' setback from any lot line for any accessory structure <br /> between 750 sf and 1000 sf footprint <br /> - 1437 regulates plumbing in accessory buildings <br /> - 1438 requires a 10' separation between principal buildings/structures and <br /> accessory buildings/structures, as well as between individual accessory <br /> structures. <br /> - 1439 states that accessory buildings which are for the storage of <br /> automobiles sha11 have the doors 30 feet or more from the property line <br /> when the doors face on a public a11ey or street. <br /> - 1440 establishes minimum design standards (materials compatibility, <br /> windows, etc.)for certain accessory buildings and detached garages. <br /> 78-1466-67: Si�ns as Accessor�Use; Si�ns in R Districts <br /> - establishes regulations for the size, location,height, design of signs <br /> 78-1511-1516: Parkin <br /> - establishes standards for parking areas and includes certain standards for <br /> enclosed parking areas <br /> Various sections within Division 6: Performance Standards regulate various usage <br /> aspects of both principal and accessory structures. More specifically, 78-1575 <br /> establishes special standards for certain screening fences required under specific <br /> circumstances. <br /> Additionally, elements of the following sections further regulate specific accessory structures or <br /> uses. These have not been included as an exhibit,but are enumerated as follows: <br /> Article VIII: Floodplain Management <br /> Article IX: Shoreland Management <br /> Article XI: Wetlands Protection <br /> Article XIII: Stormwater Quality Overlay District <br />
