MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING HELD ON JUNE 10, 1996 <br />• ( #20A - Grant Programs for Police Staffing - Continued) <br />Hurr said she was concerned with the City paying for a share of a School Liaison Officer <br />when the schools are currently paying that portion. Moorse said the matching grant fund <br />would be in addition to the funding provided by the school. <br />Moorse noted that the City owes the school a number of hours of service by the school <br />liaison officer for this year but would be breaking even overall. <br />Kelley moved, Goetten seconded, to authorize the submittal of an application for a grant <br />under the Community Oriented Policing grant program.
