.. . <br /> WOOD ROOF TRUSSES <br /> Lumber for wood roof trusses shall be in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> Trusses shall be designed for a top chord superimposed load of 45 p.s.f. and a bottom chord load <br /> of 10 p.s.f. or as listed on the drawings. Submit certified calculations with shop drawings. <br /> Spacing of roof trusses shall not exceed 24" on center. Truss configuration, pitch, overhang, etc. <br /> shall be indicated on the architectural drawings. Provide girder trusses, hip jacks, step-down <br /> trusses as required and designed to support all superimposed loads. Provide metal framing <br /> anchors at truss bearing to mechanically fasten truss to bearing wall or supporting member. <br /> Bridging, and bracing of truss compression members, shall be installed in accordance with the <br /> truss manufacturer's design and directions. No field modifications will be allowed without the <br /> written approval of the truss manufacturer. Truss manufacturer shall provide metal hangers <br /> where necessary. <br /> WOOD FLOOR TRUSSES <br /> Lumber for wood floor trusses shall in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations. <br /> Floor trusses shaii be designed to support, in addition to dead loads, the live loads listed above or <br /> indicated on the drawings. Floor trusses shall have a minimum live load deflection criteria of <br /> L/480. Design trusses for top chord bearing or bottom chord bearing as shown on the drawings <br /> or details. No cutting, notching, or modification of floor trusses will be allowed without the <br /> manufacturer's written approval. Submit certified calculations with the shop drawings. Provide <br /> girder trusses, header beams, etc. as required to frame openings. Install bridging as required by <br /> the truss manufacturer.
