MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL ' <br />MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 13, 1997 <br />( #30 - Wetland Element Of Stormwater Plan - Continued) <br />Kelley received verification from Moorse that there will be a surplus in the General <br />Fund this year. <br />( * #31) EMPLOYMENT OF ACCOUNTANT/MANAGEMENT ANALYST <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to appoint Ron Olson to the Accountant/Management <br />Analyst position effective October 27, 1997 at a starting salary of $36,500.00. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />( * #32) HIRING OF PART -TIME POLICE OFFICER - RESOLUTION NO. 3983 <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to appoint Steven Allen McNally to the position of part- <br />time police officer, effective October 13, 1997 at a starting salary of $11.89 hourly; and <br />to adopt Resolution No. 3983 establishing the eligibility of the position for coverage by <br />the State Public Employee Retirement Fund for police officers. Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />( * #33) SENIOR CITIZEN SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DEFERMENTS - NORTH <br />LONG LAKE/LONG LAKE COUNTRY CLUB ADDITION - RESOLUTIONS <br />NO. 3984 AND 3985 <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to adopt Resolution No. 3984 deferring the special • <br />assessments for Charles Edward Truman, 1570 Long Lake Boulevard and Resolution <br />No. 3985 deferring the special assessments for Ardis Joan Severtson, 1586 Long Lake <br />Boulevard in the North Long Lake/Long Lake Country Club Addition sewer project. <br />Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT <br />City Attorney Barrett had no report. <br />( * #34) LICENSES <br />There were no licenses. <br />( * #35) BILLS <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to approve payment of the All Funds Account.
