0 <br />MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO CITY COUNCIL <br />MEETING HELD ON OCTOBER 13,1997 <br />ENGINEER REPORT <br />( #11) CHANGE ORDER NO.6 - NORTH LONG LAKE SANITARY SEWER <br />PROJECT <br />Goetten questioned the expenses for the retaining wall. Gappa explained the type and <br />length of the wall. Cook said it was intended to maintain the vegetation but too much <br />had to be eliminated requiring the wall construction. <br />Flint suggested other more attractive options be considered. Cook said timber was the <br />other option, but does not have the same stability and life expectancy. <br />Kelley asked how much contingency funds are included in the project cost. Cook said <br />they were at about 3% of the total project cost. <br />Goetten moved, Kelley seconded, to approve Change Order No. 6, North Long <br />Lake/Long Lake Country Club Sanitary Sewer project, in the amount of $9,200.00. <br />Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />( #12) CHANGE ORDER NO.7 - NORTH LONG LAKE SANITARY SEWER <br />PROJECT <br />. Goetten asked for a breakdown of the costs involved. Cook explained that the regrading <br />and paving of Long Lake Boulevard was about $7,000; paving of Dakota Avenue <br />driveway, easement, and tree trimming cost about $2,500, the lift station was $1,000, <br />and the paving of CoRd 19 and Tonkaview Lane intersection was $2,000. <br />Peterson moved, Kelley seconded, to approve Change Order No. 7, North Long <br />Lake/Long Lake Country Club Sanitary Sewer project, in the amount of $12,522.00. <br />Vote: Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />( * #13) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO.4 - NORTH LONG LAKE SANITARY <br />SEWER PROJECT <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 4, North Long <br />Lake Sanitary Sewer Project to Barbarossa & Sons in the amount of $65,025.79. Vote: <br />Ayes 5, Nays 0. <br />( * #14) REQUEST FOR PAYMENT NO.2 - BAY RIDGE/BRACKETTS POINT <br />SANITARY SEWER PROJECT <br />Goetten moved, Flint seconded, to approve Request for Payment No. 2, Bracketts <br />Point/Bay Ridge Sanitary Sewer Project to Barbarossa & Sons in the amount of <br />$167,485.24.
