MINUTES OF THE ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF NOVEMBER 13, 1989 <br />10 CITY ATTORNEY'S REPORT: <br />City Attorney Barrett indicated that he had no report. <br />LICENSES* <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by <br />Councilmember Peterson, to approve the following licenses: <br />Gambling: Art Center of Minnesota <br />Sell Raffle Tickets for <br />June 28, 1990 Event <br />One Day Set Up: Art Center of Minnesota <br />Holiday House <br />Wednesday, November 29, 1989 <br />Motion, Ayes =4, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />BILLS <br />Councilmember Goetten inquired about the All Star Pro Golf <br />Company Jackets. <br />Public Works Director Gerhardson explained that they were <br />purchased to sell at the golf course. <br />Councilmember Goetten also inquired about the expense <br />• involved for a seminar attended by Chief Kilbo. <br />City Administrator Bernhardson replied that the conference <br />lasted for 4 or 5 days. <br />Goetten asked Bernhardson who attended a conference at the <br />Sunwood Inn in St. Cloud and for what purpose? <br />Bernhardson replied that Finance Director Kuehn had attended <br />a Minnesota Finance Officers Association conference. (This was <br />an inccorect statement as Police Lieutenant Moran attended a <br />conference at the Sunwood Inn in St. Cloud.) <br />It was moved by Councilmember Goetten, seconded by Acting <br />Mayor Callahan, to approve payment of the All Funds Accounts. <br />Motion, Ayes =4, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />MISCELLANEOUS <br />Councilmember Peterson inquired about the notation "non- <br />conforming use permit" indicated on a document regarding the <br />Wayzata Golf Course. <br />Assistant Planning and Zoning Administrator Gaffron <br />clarified that the City of Orono previously referred to certain <br />categories of Conditional Use Permits as Non - Conforming Use <br />Permits. <br />Zoning Administrator Mabusth said that "non- conforming use" <br />was a term designating uses that were not specifically listed in <br />the City Zoning Code. <br />12 <br />
