• MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL ORONO COUNCIL MEETING <br />HELD SEPTEMBER 27, 1989 <br />• C <br />ATTENDANCE 6:34 P.M. <br />The Council met on the above date with the following <br />members present: Acting Mayor Callahan, Councilmembers Goetten, <br />Nettles and Peterson; Mayor Grabek was absent. The following <br />represented the City staff: City Administrator Bernhardson, <br />Finance Director Kuehn, Building & Zoning Administrator Mabusth, <br />Public Works Director Gerhardson, Police Chief Kilbo and City <br />Clerk Hallin. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />DELINQUENT UTILITY BILLINGS <br />RESOLUTION #2714 <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2714 providing for <br />the collection of delinquent charges for 1989 sewer and water <br />utility services, annual septic inspection and recycling program <br />fees. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0, Motion passed. <br />ASSESSMENT ROLL <br />DELINQUENT GENERAL SERVICES <br />• RESOLUTION #2715 <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to adopt Resolution #2715 providing for <br />the collection of delinquent Developers' Fees and Alarm Users' <br />fees in the amount of $4,866.59 and to add 10.0% interest to the <br />amounts due. Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 0, Motion passed. <br />PUBLIC COMMENTS <br />There were no public comments. <br />SET PUBLIC HEARING DATE <br />1990 BUDGET <br />City Administrator Bernhardson stated that the City had <br />received notification that because of the special session of the <br />Legislature currently in progress the State has recommended that <br />the date of the public hearing not be set at this time. <br />PRESENTATION AND REVIEW OF <br />PROPOSED 1990 BUDGET <br />City Administrator noted for Council the new pages III - <br />a, VII and VII -a. After discussion regarding comparison of <br />previous budget compared to present law and anticipated changes, <br />upcoming major expenditures and additional funds not shown in the <br />proposed budget Acting Mayor Callahan asked if there were any <br />questions_ on line items in the budget. <br />Councilmember Goetten asked why there was a decrease in <br />the LMCD budget from the previous year. Finance Director Kuehn <br />stated that $15,000 was added to the 1989 LMCD budget for the <br />Eurasian Milfoil problem. <br />1 <br />
