14INUTES OF THE ORONO COUNCIL MEETING OF JULY 24, 1989 <br />• ZONING FILE #1420- NORWOOD CONTINUED <br />be distinguished from similar applications because Mr. Norwood <br />had requested the construction of a garage and was legally <br />required to combine the lots which precluded him from <br />subdividing. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to adopt Resolution #2667, denying the lot <br />area variances requested for a subdivision of 1300 Vine Place. <br />Nettles also moved to refund the appropriate amount for sewer <br />assessment plus interest to Mr. Norwood. He further directed <br />staff to draft a resolution in that regard. Motion, Ayes =3, <br />Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />ACCESSORY STRUCTURE ORDINANCE <br />It was moved by Councilmember Nettles, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetten, to table this item until the August 14, <br />1989 Council Meeting, due to a 4 /5th vote being required. <br />Motion, Ayes =3, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />ENGINEER'S REPORT: <br />HIGHWAY 12 SEWER/WATER PROJECT <br />RECEIPT OF PETITION <br />AWARD OF BIDS <br />• RESOLUTION #2668 ORDERING PROJECT <br />(Item #3 above) <br />MAYOR /COUNCIL REPORT: <br />Mayor Grabek had asked Bernhardson to report that there had <br />been comments printed in the paper from the Long Lake Council <br />Meeting pertaining to the Long Lake sewer plant property. Grabek <br />had a different understanding of the progress. He asked <br />Bernhardson to convey to the Orono Oaks residents that he would <br />be happy to meet with them to discuss this matter. <br />CITY ADMINISTRATOR'S REPORT: <br />COUNTY ROAD 51 PARKING <br />City Administrator Bernhardson requested that this item be <br />tabled to the August 14, 1989 Council meeting. <br />It was moved by Acting Mayor Callahan, seconded by <br />Councilmember Nettles, to table this item until the August 14, <br />1989 Council meeting. Motion, Ayes =3, Nays =O, Motion passed. <br />HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE <br />2620 KELLY AVENUE <br />Mr. and Mrs. Pritchard were present for this matter and <br />addressed the concerns of the City regarding his home occupation. <br />He also presented a petition that had been signed by 24 of his <br />• neighbors indicating that they had no objections to his <br />occupation. Mr. Pritchard said that he had operated this <br />business for six years and was required to obtain and renew his <br />license annually with the State of Minnesota.
