MINUTES OF THE REGULAR ORONO COUNCIL MEETING HELD MAY 23, 1988 <br />• #1262 CURT HAGFORS CONTINUED <br />Council he has decided to merely raise the house <br />and redo the foundation, which would create a <br />slight side yard setback variance of about 4 to 6 <br />inches. In addition he would increase the garage <br />setback from the street from 17 to 21 feet. This <br />will increase the driveway hardcover and the <br />overall hardcover increases about 125 square feet. <br />Mr. Hagfors stated he needs more room behind the <br />garage for parking and increased safety. He stated <br />this will place his garage in line with neighboring <br />properties. The expense of moving the house is <br />high therefore he would like to just lift it up <br />rather than moving it laterally. <br />Councilmember Goetten stated there are changes on <br />all of the requests and this should go back to the <br />Planning Commission. She stated there were too <br />many changes to the original application. <br />Mr. Hagfors stated he would just relocate the <br />garage and that he wished to not go back to <br />Planning Commission to save time. <br />It was moved by Mayor Grabek, seconded by <br />Councilmember Sime to approve the variance request <br />which included increase in hardcover of 1.7 %. <br />Motion, Ayes 4, Nays 1. Councilmember Goetten <br />voted nay. <br />#1273 ROLLIN LACY <br />2655 NORTH SHORE DRIVE _ <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AND VARIANCE. <br />RESOLUTION #2434 <br />Mrs. Lacy was present for this matter. <br />Administrator Bernnardson reviewed this application <br />for Council. <br />It was moved by Councilmember Sime, seconded by <br />Councilmember Goetter to adopt Resolution #2434 <br />approving the conditional use permit and variances <br />as outlined by staff.
